Bear Valley sits at 7,100 feet on Highway 4 between Arnold and the seasonal Ebbetts Pass closure — Bear Valley Mountain Resort climbs to an 8,495-foot summit on nine lifts and 1,680 acres, Lake Alpine and the Mokelumne Wilderness open immediately east, and the Calaveras Big Trees North Grove of giant sequoias stands 30 miles down the canyon at Arnold. Stanislaus National Forest surrounds the entire village.

Our rentals concentrate in the original Bear Valley Village complexes — Tamarack and Creekside condos walking distance to the Bear Valley Lodge, Sky Hi vacation homes on the meadow side, and a handful of larger pet-friendly cabins along Bear Valley Road. Most sleep 4 to 12, run 1 to 4 bedrooms, and put you within fifteen minutes of either the resort or Lake Alpine.
