Attractions
Haleakala National Park
This park is home to a mountain that is over 10,000 feet tall. When you are up there, you will most likely have great views. The clear weather most of the time allows this to happen. You can even bike down the mountain. You can also see the sunrise.
Kapalua Golf Resort
This golf resort has two golf courses. These are the Bay Course and The Plantation Course. In addition to two golf courses, it also has a spa facility and salon. The Bay Course has palm trees and hibiscuses. The Plantation Course offers great views.
Kapalua Beach
This is one of Maui's most beautiful beaches. It has palm trees and fringed lava rocks stretching into the ocean. It is great for swimming. It is a great place for the whole family. The lawn area near it is nice.
Kaanapali Beach
This beach is three miles long. It is famous for the ceremony of people cliff diving off of black rock. This ceremony happens every evening during sunset. There are two golf courses near it. These golf courses are the Royal Kaanapali and the Kaanapali Kai. Whalers Village, a famous shopping center, is right near it too.
Iao Valley State Park
This is a great place for easy hiking. It is ten miles long. It is home to the 1,200 foot tall iconic Iao Needle. That object in the park is one of Maui's most recognizable landmarks. The main path leads from the parking lot to it.
Napili
This is a great beach for the whole family. It is a fantastic one for a wedding to occur there. There are many things that you can do there. Some of these things include snorkeling and body boarding. Some of the things that you might see when you snorkel there include eels, turtles, and trigger fish.
Lahaina
This is a great town for tourists to visit. It has many shops and restaurants. Some of the restaurants that it has includes Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Cheesburger's in Paradise, and Roy's Restaurant. Some of the shops that it has includes Hilo Hattie's, Golden Beach Jewelry, and Elegance Fine Jewelry. There is a show there called 'Ulalena that you can see there.
Whalers Village
This is a shopping center. It has many stores and restaurants. Some of the stores that it has include Na Hoku, Malibu Shirts, and Jessica's Gems. Some of the restaurants that it has includes Hula Grille, Leilani's On The Beach, and Maui Fish and Pasta. It is located near a beach.
Maui Ocean Center
This place has many different animals. Some of these animals include sharks, eels, and jellyfish. It has a couple of restaurants. It also has a gift shop. It is a great place for the whole family.
Sugar Cane Train
This train runs along part of the west side of Maui. It specifically runs from Kaanapali to Lahaina. It takes 50 minutes to from one end to the other. There are four trains every day. It is great for the whole family.
