Champion is the postal town for Seven Springs Mountain Resort and the surrounding Villages communities — Woodridge, Sunridge, Stoneridge, Stonegate, Meadowridge — that anchor the Laurel Highlands ridge in southern Westmoreland County. Seven Springs runs 33 trails on 285 skiable acres with a 750-foot vertical drop (the biggest in Pennsylvania), 14 lifts including the Polar Bear quad, the Foggy Goggle base lodge and axe-throwing house, the slopeside Trillium Spa, and the night-skiing schedule that runs Monday-through-Saturday in winter.
