The northernmost barrier island in Florida — Amelia Island's town of Fernandina Beach pairs thirteen miles of Atlantic sand with a 50-block historic district on Centre Street, the 1736 Spanish bastion at Fort Clinch State Park, and Egan's Creek Greenway running from Atlantic Avenue to the marshes north of Main Beach Park.
Fernandina Beach is the only town on Amelia Island — a thirteen-mile barrier off Florida's northeast coast, named #1 Best Island in the U.S. by Global Traveler in 2024. The 50-block downtown along Centre Street still wears its 1880s Victorian shipping-port architecture, the Palace Saloon has poured beer since 1903, and Fort Clinch State Park anchors the north end with brick bastions Confederate troops abandoned in 1862. South of Main Beach Park the dunes turn wild at Amelia Island State Park, where horseback rides on the surf line are the local-favorite Sunday morning.
Our rentals run from oceanfront condos at Amelia By The Sea and Coral Sands on South Fletcher Avenue to multi-bedroom beach homes off Sadler Road, garden cottages walkable to Centre Street, and pool-deck units inside the gated Amelia Island Plantation at the south end. Most are within a fifteen-minute drive of Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) — Fernandina trades the crowds of central Florida for marsh sunsets, a working shrimp fleet, and a downtown you can walk top to bottom in twenty minutes.
