A 12-mile foot-shaped barrier island on the South Carolina Lowcountry coast — Sea Pines Resort anchors the southern toe with Harbour Town's red-and-white lighthouse and Harbour Town Golf Links (host of the RBC Heritage), Palmetto Dunes runs the middle stretch with the Robert Trent Jones Sr. oceanfront course, Coligny Plaza and Coligny Beach Park sit at the public-access center, and the Cross Island Parkway threads the Calibogue Sound side of the island.
Hilton Head Island is South Carolina's 12-mile foot-shaped barrier island on the Calibogue Sound — Sea Pines Resort, the original 1956 Charles Fraser planned-community ground zero, anchors the southern toe with Harbour Town's red-and-white lighthouse, the South Beach Marina, and Harbour Town Golf Links (the annual RBC Heritage PGA Tour event in April). Palmetto Dunes runs the middle Atlantic stretch with the Robert Trent Jones Sr. Oceanfront Course and the 11-mile Palmetto Dunes Lagoon. Coligny Beach Park and Coligny Plaza anchor the public-access center; Folly Field Beach and Mid-Island Park sit on the north Atlantic side; and the Cross Island Parkway threads the Calibogue Sound interior.
Our rentals lean villa-and-resort: 1–4 bedroom villa product inside Sea Pines (Queen's Grant in Palmetto Dunes, Sea Side Villas, Wildwood Court, Ketch Court), Palmetto Dunes oceanfront and lagoon-front villas, Coligny-area condos walking-distance to the Atlantic, and Fiddler's Cove townhouses near the Cross Island Parkway. Most carry shared resort pools, hot tubs, tennis-court access, and direct bike-trail-to-beach paths under the live-oak canopy.
