Taste of Healdsburg

Visitors claim that all their wines are outstanding for the price; you can get a Gewurztraminer for just $9 a bottle! Not only will you get to taste all of their delicious wines, but you can also tour the 25,000 square-foot cave where they age and ferment their wine.

This family-owned winery is a Healdsburg favorite. The delicious wines and shady picnic area come together to form a wonderful and relaxing wine tasting experience. They are known for their signature white wines, including their crisp Chenin Blanc and aromatic Foggy Oaks Chardonnay. It’s a great place to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your wine.

At Foppiano Vineyards, the friendly staff loves to share their extensive knowledge of the history of the local wine industry with their visitors. The winery was founded in 1896 by Giovanni Foppiano and is still run by the Italian, Petite-Sirah-loving Foppiano family 115 years later. They have a cozy tasting room where you can relax and enjoy your wine, but you can also grab your glass and take a self-guided tour of the vineyard.

If you can’t go anywhere without your precious pup, then this is the winery for you! Mutt Lynch is a winery that’s as passionate about dogs as they are about wine. A portion of the proceeds from all bottles bought at the winery go toward supporting local animal rescue groups. You’ll be sure to enjoy their wide selection of varietals, many of which have won awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Viszlay Vineyards is a small, boutique winery that approaches winemaking in a delicate way. They strive to make the fruit shine through in each bottle, using neutral oak barrels and picking their fruit when it’s at the peak of flavor. Fans of sparkling wine will enjoy their dry yet fruity Prosecco, one of the only domestically grown Proseccos in Wine Country.
