Waipouli Beach Resort is billed as a 5 star luxury resort. The only Luxury is currently within the condo unit itself. The unit itself is spectacular, except for the rollout sofa bed. The mattress is so thin the bars below stop you from getting any rest.

The resort has gone into foreclosure by the bank. Thus, the spa, restaurant, bar are closed down. There was a concierge there a couple days, but not on a regular basis. The front desk treats you like a pest once you tell them you are renting via ReMax. The security staff is your ReMax interface and they were excellent help.

The Pool is nothing like brochures play it up to be. The sand bottom pool has such course rock you cannot walk through it. The lazy river is without any floating tubes, so it is of no fun to the kids. The staff does not allow any play tubes or balls in the pool, so the kids were disappointed. The restaurant is closed down, so there is not any poolside food or drink available at the pool.

We chose this rental based on the fact that it was rated as a newer five star resort with a lot of amenities above those of local competition. It is not currently true. I would do more research to see if they have replaced all the missing amnities before renting here.

We loved the condo - well-appointed artwork and bedroom furniture. Living room sofa and lazy boy were in bad shape - sunk big time in couch; lazyboy had loose right arm and left front leg stand. These 2 items really downgraded the beauty of the condo. The supplies were great and all the appliances worked wonders. The resort, itself, was absolutely awesome!

This was my second time staying at this complex. I enjoyed my stay here it's a beautiful place. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced...arm chair,couch and bed mattress.

If you have 4+ in your family this is a excellent choice for your stay, even though you can't swim at the beach there are two awesome beaches north and south of the property.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. The unit was exceptionally clean, amenities were great. Few issues the remotes for TV's very confusing and directions did not work. There was only one face cloth in restrooms, need a 5 qt. Pot for stove top. Took 16 hrs to cook corned beef and cabbage in confusing slow cooker. Need a sharper peeler. Beds were very comfortable. The electrical in the bedroom w/queen bed, behind bed spark when I tried to use it so didn't. The toilet for that room ran. Concierge was great. Did the helicopter experience and morning 5 hour snorkel trip. Both terrific. Your whole island is made with red dirt, should not punish your tenants for that. With the towel situation. The property was great. Pool side was perfect. Clean and beautiful. Thanks again for a great stay

This rental was in a great location to the beach and walking distance to Safeway. The condo had very upgraded features. The rooms are set up nicely for two couples. The construction quality of the condo is very good, interior doors are solid core and have weather stripping so you don't hear if other guests in your party are using the kitchen if you're still sleeping. We liked the fact that there was a cooler and some beach chairs to use. The kitchen is also nicely appointed. We are a little spoiled by our high-quality mattress at home and the beds could use an update.

The apartment was really nice. Very clean, comfortable beds (even the pullout couch wasn't bad!), and thoughtfully appointed with extra sheets, lots of towels, high end kitchen appliances (rice cooker, blender, immersion blender, decent knives), etc. The location is great as well. Midway between north and south shore activities, and near two great beaches for kids. I also appreciated the use of the hotel pool towels- that saved us a bunch of laundering. Only two things I would change would be to add one large pot in the kitchen and to put the missing screws back in the bedroom doorknob that was falling off. The view looks over a Safeway and Ross store to the mountains. Very beautiful during the day, when you don't notice the shopping center, but at night, it's all store lights. Fabulous light blocking blinds made that a non issue for us, but the lanai in the evening wasn't such a draw. Far better than a whole lot of rooms overlooking the parking lot, though. I would absolutely rent this condo again.

We had a relaxing time! The condo was very clean and ideally located! The amenities were also fabulous- the jacuzzi has sand at the bottom for a wonderful effect.

I had a great stay at the Waipouli Beach Resort. I loved my condo. The living spaces were great...the kitchen was stocked with all the appliances/items I needed, both bathrooms were beautiful and spacious. The property itself was great and kid friendly. The pool with water slide and water fall was a hit with the kids, as well as the splash pool for my 18 month old. The Oasis restaurant was quite tasty. There was walking access to the complaints here! There was a grocery store literally across the street in walking distance, a Starbucks, this Coconuts Restaurant that I literally went to EVERY SINGLE DAY, a convenience store for gifts and a Ross!!!

My husband and I absolutely love this location, we have stayed here twice so far and recommend it to all our friends. It is conveniently located, close to airport and pretty central if you want to visit the north shore or the east side of the island. You can easily walk to downtown Kapa'a for shopping and meals or across the street to Safeway. I love not fighting for 10 chairs with a whole hotel, the pool is great. This particular unit was very nice as well, bigger than the 2 of us needed, but we commented it would be great for a shared space or to come back with kids. We were pleased to find cooler and chairs in the unit that we could take to the beach. The only concern was the washer door was broken. You had to carefully ensure you closed it properly. Definitely not a deal breaker for me, I just had anxiety about it.
