Could use new sheets and blankets and some deferred maintenance. Did not have a tv remote and it took a couple days for maintenance to deliver one. Had some trouble with some not nice board members threatening to tow our car when there were no signs not to park there. Thankfully Arline, onsite manager was there to and on our side. Still had to cut my ski day short to go back and move the my car. The unit is up a ramp and away from parking, but close to the pool and jacuzzi. Decent pet friendly unit. Overall the pluses out weigh negatives. Close to Village
The condo was in a great location and we enjoyed walking to the village and skiing back to the condo. The cabin is dated and could use and upgrade including the carpet, lighting and beds.
30 second walk to the Jacuzzi and 8 minute walk to the village. Perfect if you dont want to drive anywhere during your stay. Place is older but who cares when your enjoying time with your friends and the slopes. Decent views.
My family and I had the best time
Great location walking distance to the village but biggest concern is the safety for smaller children especially toddler and crawlers. Main level railing that then leads down to 2 bedrooms has bars that are spaced to far apart. A small child can easily fall through the railings and down the stairs. Especially worrisome since it is along the main level where the living room is and then would drop down the bottom level.
We had a great time in this very family and pet friendly condo. A couple of things could have been updated like coffee maker didn't work so we found another one under the sink so thank god that one worked, the new stove is great but when they installed it covered drawers in the kitchen, also light in main bathroom was out and water got cool quickly when 6 of us took showers. Great location close to village and gondola and walking our dog.
We had a great experience at Val D'Isere #6. I have 6 kids and this condo offered plenty of room for us all to enjoy ourselves without feeling cramped. Mattresses could use some updating soon but that is a minor complaint. I have no problem highly recommending this condo especially for a large family or a few groups of couples to share. The village is literally a 5 minute walk away.
Great time, location right next to the village was so convenient. Unit is a little dated but was perfect for our needs, thank you!
The unit was exactly as described. I would gladly stay here again. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the layout was great for our family. I really like the location as it is a short walk to the village.
VDI Unit # 6. Quick and in easy check in and check out. Very dated 3 bedroom but adds old skool charm to the experience. 2 of the bedrooms down stairs. Location was ideal for young family with not all skiers/boarders as behind the parking was undeveloped area to play in the snow while still having a short walk to the Village.
Charming condo. Close to everything! Walking distance to the village!
Mammoth Sierra Reservation (MSR) really cares about their clients! They worked very hard to make sure renting from them was a positive experience! Do yourself a favor and save the Vrbo fee and rent directly MSR. In my case, would have saved $185. The condo it self is exactly what I expected. It is old and dated. The flooring is new (carpet and kitchen tile). The bathrooms are old but clean. The showers are very short. The price was too high for the condition of the condo. I would stay there again if the price was more in line with other condos on site.
The condo is definitely in need of some TLC. The mattresses are old and saggy, the refrigerator needs to be replaced and we could not figure out if the fireplace was working or if it was off limits, due to the fact there was a fire extinguisher on the hearth. Not a good sign!
This unit is nothing fancy, but it was clean and the location is excellent - just across the street from The Village with it's restaurants (Toomey's is the best restaurant there) and the gondola to the slopes. Also a short walk to Mammoth Brewing for the beer lovers. <br/><br/>The guest information provided in the unit or in the check-in documents needs to be improved - had to call the reservations office to get the Wifi code and had to call the condo manager to get the gate code for the spa. Both were happy to help but it was a hassle nonetheless. <br/><br/>The unit needs some attention - the door knob to the upstairs bathroom doesn't work right, we found only 1 decent wine glass, baseboard missing in the downstairs bathroom, etc - just a few improvements that wouldn't cost much.
The condo was perfect for our family of five. The kids (or young adults) slept downstairs in the two bedrooms and we had privacy in the upstairs bedroom.
It was fine. A little stingy on the diswasher detergent and TP supplies, but overall pleasant experience.
good experience staying at Val D'Isere #6. The place is just a little dated (avocado counter top, etc.). But it was clean, well supplied, and very spacious. The location is excellent, just a hop across the street to the village and gondola. Very nice, wood burning fireplace and plenty of wood supplied by the management. Very high marks to the management company. Everything worked seamlessly, they repeatedly checked in to see if there were any issues, and very pleasant. This place and this management are definitely at the top of our list for future visits.
The place has a great location, and was very clean and as described. (Oh, except I think I expected three bedrooms and two cots, but actually it's three bedrooms and a pull out sofa. It didn't matter to us, but it might matter to you.) It's also very close to the hot tub. I would return here.
Good time and stay
Rental unit was great...clean, little things were left like trash bags, dishwasher detergent, more than enough firewood, beds were comfortable.<br/><br/>The onsite property manager was not very attentive or available when needed. When engaged, it seemed as if it was forced. The manager seemed bothered by our questions about the parking situation or other general issues with the property. <br/><br/>The property management company was very helpful when the property manager was unavailable or difficult to work with.
Great! Thank you!
We went to the Mammoth Bluesapaloza and our rental was a 10 minute walk to the venue.
We had a great time in this vacation rental. There were 3 couples total who stayed. More than enough room, even the twin beds we made into a makeshift full sized bed. Very good heating system and enough hot water all around every night for showers.<br/><br/>Spa was really nice too!<br/><br/>We were surprised at how stocked the kitchen was with pans and utensils. Parking wasn't a problem with our 2 cars and the checkin/checkout was easy by just picking up and dropping off the keys at a building down the road.<br/><br/>The ONLY thing I would say is that we'd want to be a BIT closer to the village only when walking in snow boots down to the gondola. But if you're walking in regular shoes its QUICK and easy.
This place is probably quarter mile from Gondola so a ski boot walk is too much as the hill to it is almost impossible after a days skiing.<br/>Most of the interior is décor is old but functional. Beds were fine but the rest needs serious updating. Great for a guys trip and the pool and spa is just outside.
Pros: Unit in great location, right across street from Village and gondola to Canyon Lodge. Low price for prime ski season. Wi-fi was solid. Electric baseboard heat warmed family room and bed rooms up nicely.<br/><br/>Cons: Check-in is at 4pm and unit wasn't ready until after 5pm. Parking was extremely tight on the weekend. Fridge froze the milk and other liquids. Furnishings were outdated.<br/><br/>If you've got a group of 6-8 and on a budget, then this is a pretty good deal. 20 feet of snow in a month makes up for a lot of shortcomings.
This condo is in a great location....just two long blocks from the Village Gondola (down hill on the way there and a slight uphill on the way back), We walked to snowboarding everyday and walked to the Village for some of our meals and souvenir shopping. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, the beds were comfortable, and there were lots of extra blankets in the closets in case of very cold weather. The complex's outdoor hot tub was even working in the winter. The place needs updating, if that's something you care about, but that's not us (we're all about functionality).
The property management staff, esp. Sonya & Kendra were extremely nice, courteous and helpful. The location of the unit was excellent, close to the village and bus line. The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars, was because of the broken coffee pot that wasn't replaced, and only 5 dining chairs instead of six. I would recommend Val D'Isere to others.
