We had an issue with the internet/wi-fi not working, which was not the owner's or management company's fault at all (it was a technical issue with the service provider), and the only reason I mention it is to bring awareness to the quick and efficient response from Book That Condo. Shaun from the company was on top of it the entire time with updates and information and we greatly appreciated his attention and time.
We are already looking at dates for next year and will definitely be checking here first. Cannot wait to head back to Sandy Toes!
The condo did have some disappointments. The outdoor area leading to the beach was overgrown and not kept. I had to get scissors and cut the grass that was cutting our legs as we tried to commute back and forth from beach to condo. We could not get the washer to open to wash towels in between our stay.
Overall, do not let our critique fool you. This place is a gem and totally worth it!
Unit was equiped with pots, pans, cups, plates, silverware, knives, bath towels, and even a propane grill on the porch. Things I would recommend bringing are a few hand towels, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, coffee cups (theirs are very small), bring coat hangers if wanting to hang clothing (we did leave a few for future guest we purchased), beach chairs and beach towels. I recommend wearing flips when walking on the porch, we caught many wood splinters in our feet.
Unit is super close to the beach, much closer then we thought. The location is perfect! Within a mile of a Winn Dixie, gas station, liquor store and Publix. Traffic flow is very minimal on this end of Front Beach. Unit is located right next to a public beach access, make sure important belongings are brought inside at night. Pier Park is about 15 minutes away, close enough for a short ride but far enough to feel seclusion.
Would highly recommend this unit to anyone! We would definitely come back for future stays!
Before booking we read through the reviews of this place and most were pretty good but seeing is believing.
Let's start with the good. The place is literally steps from the beach. The view from the deck is absolutely beautiful.
Now the dirty. There is black mold All throughout this place. Walls, bathrooms, etc. Walk into a shower (if you are lucky enough to get the shower doors open) and you will find sludge and mold just caked to the rails. Walk into the hallway and you will see mold on the walls around the thermostat and electrical box.
If you are super lucky you may wake up and catch a cockroach or two roaming around the bathrooms or kitchen.
A quick look and the neighboring properties and it obvious this is the ugly duckling.
Overall we loved Panama City Beach. Beautiful place! But super disappointed in choice of property.
This was not the case at SandeToes. I will be attaching some pictures of this place but first let me outline some of our concerns.
1. There was trash strewn across the drive way when we drove in. 2. The property lacked curb appeal in the back(street side) with a dead plant and significant corrosion of the metal facing of the property contributing to the trashy first impression of the place. 3. Upon entering the property there was dust and food particles on the floors and rugs. 4. The front of the property (beach side) also exhibited significant corrosion of the metal facing and wooden elements which were nailed. The nails' corrosion (front and back) blemished the wood. 5. The chairs on the porch were corroded leaving piles of rust on the porch. 6. The dune vegetation was either dead or overgrown. 7. There was trash and toys strewn throughout vegetation in the front(beach side)of the property.8. A/C vents are corroded and dusty. 9. There is mold in the bathrooms. 10. There was no hotwater the first night. 11.Light bulbs were missing or out.
Your lack of attention to detail, and there is more, indicates a poorly managed property. I believe because of the poor conditions, apparent in this property, which have not been addressed for a long time represent health hazards to the occupants.
