INSIDE THE HOUSE
Our cabin was built in 1930, and its original charm is still very much intact. The rustic living space has classic cabin-style décor and a picture window view of gorgeous Lake Tahoe. Cue up an mp3 of a memorable radio drama, light a crackling fire in the wood stove, and gather the family together for hot chocolate. Or, if you’re in a more modern mood, watch TV on the 24" flat-screen. Upstairs, there is a 46" flat-screen TV.
The cabin also has a second living area upstairs: a lofted rumpus room-like space with charming gables, a small work desk in front of a window looking out on the lake, and an adjoining full bathroom. The futon in this room pulls out into a queen-size bed.
The kitchen, though simple, is well-equipped for any meal you might want to prepare. Much of the cabinetry is original; wooden countertops and a farm sink with marble backsplash top off the classic Tahoe look. You’ll also find a gas range and a 30" flat-screen.
Our cabin has two bedrooms. The master, on the main floor, has a queen-size bed. The second bedroom, also furnished with a queen-size bed, has a wall-mounted 24" flat-screen TV, and a full en-suite bathroom that is also accessible via the kitchen.
As for outdoor space? Our lush backyard boasts a patio and seating area, plenty of shady pine trees, and an outstanding view of the lake. We also have a Weber gas grill for your grilling needs.
Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances.
This rental is in a lakefront location in the historic Al Tahoe area of midtown SLT, and within walking distance of several local establishments like Sprouts Cafe, Lakeside Beach House, Rojo’s Tavern, and vegetarian fare at Sprouts Café.
We’re also close to all-season fun. While swimming and boating on the lake are just steps away, the slopes at Heavenly are also only 6 minutes away by car. Or put on your hiking boots and head over to the Mt. Tallac Trail, a 16-minute drive from our door.
Strict ordinances govern Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. This home cannot be used for any parties/weddings/receptions. Maximum allowable occupancy is 8 people and 2 cars, enforced/patrolled 24 hours/day. Excessive noise or over-occupancy at any time of day will result in guest fine up to $2,000 (as well as any fines assessed against the homeowner). Failure to observe the NO PARTY policy will result in eviction. WARNING: This home is located in a sound-sensitive neighborhood and is not suitable for large or noisy groups.
