It was a place to stay that took back in time!
What an amazing experience we had, staying at the Pullman Train Car! We truly felt that we were stepping back in time. Such a fun and cozy place to stay. The decor is amazing, with all the pictures and memorabilia. The Train Car is located off the beaten path in a very peaceful area, but so close to all the attractions. We loved having a living room to relax in and a kitchen available. And 2 bathrooms! No sharing with the hubs! We love staying in historical locations, and this one did not disappoint!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was especially cold for a Texas winter but we came prepared and didn’t let it affect us. It was charming, authentically antique and we used our minds to take a trip back in time. I would highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed stepping back in history and staying in the sleeper car. Location was close enough to Main Street. The only negative was the tractor trailers moving late at night near the sleeper car. Property was exactly as described. Very rich with history and information about the car. Car was very comfortable
Super unique vacation spot! The train was unbelievably put together and kept very historic! It was such a great experience to go back in history!
Our employees gave us this trip knowing our love for history and Fredericksburg. We had a great weekend and thoroughly enjoyed reading about the Pullman car and it’s connection to the famous 6666 Ranch and President Roosevelt.
Awesome, very walkable to a cute town and great restaurants
An opportunity to stay in a unique property. Close to town. Nice that you get a gift certificate as part of the package. Not luxurious but a fun place to stay.
We absolutely loved staying in this unique antique sleeper car. It was so interesting and fun. It is a few blocks to Main Street which we were able to walk in about 15 minutes. There is an HEB in walking distance and a lunch and dinner restaurant very close that we enjoyed <br/>Thank you for the wonderful experience. We had everything we needed and the communication was excellent.
The Pullman car is a wonderful venue, and we enjoyed our stay. However, the property owner needs to affect some repairs. During our stay, it rained one night. Two windows in the bedroom leaked, and there's a leak somewhere behind/above the "pulldown" in the small sitting compartment and one of the bench seats got wet. We used most of the towels we had to keep the water from flowing onto the floor. Thank goodness the rain didn't last long. There was an issue with the wi-fi - we couldn't find the instructions for how to connect. We were told that the instructions were by the tv, but we never found them - anywhere. In addition, there wasn't much hot water the first night, but that issue was remedied very quickly. The venue is quiet and cozy, and the bed is very comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place to visit.

The stay was especially treasured as my wife went to a Pullman school and her brother owned a four-flat that was rented by Pullman employees in that monopoly town.
good. only thing that needs attention is there were a few electrical socket outlets that were missing the face plates. didnt feel comfortable using them safely. also had kids walk in the train while we were staying there, they thought is was open for public display. Another guy was walking around train in evening.
Very unique accommodations and location.
This Quannah 6666 rail car was a time capsule in history. Very well done, beautiful and romantic. Air conditioner and bath tub were perfect! It was in a great area in town, perfect location to eat, antique, and catch the roads to winery's!
love, love, love!!! awesome place to stay with the history of the area and the history of the train car. Was perfect!
We loved the pullman train car. It was small but the charm of it made up for that. The weather that weekend was awful so we stayed in the car more than we might have normally. It was very cozy, comfortable and the location made it convenient but not as loud as if it were downtown. Very comfortable bed which is always important! I would say this is definitely a two person place to stay. Pretty romantic as well! Loved it! Quite an experience!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Pullman train car stay. I had been looking forward to it for some time once I discovered it. Great piece of history. My great grandfather was the conductor on a train similar to this car and he had meet Quanah Parker on his train. This was a truly unique and special experience.
Found this alternative lodging option for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was worth it! It was a bit "tight" in some areas and the location was at a busy intersection, however it is conveniently located just a few blocks from Downtown. The only things we could think of that would have made it better is if 1) it were located on the lovely Fischer & Wieser Das Peach Haus property and 2) if the outside patio had a covered area and there was a grill. Overall, we enjoyed the novelty and the history of this 1894 Pullman Palace Car, and appreciated the prompt responses to our requests by all personnel we interacted with.
Thought it was amazing to stay in a piece of history and we enjoyed the books and extra touches--we definitely spent some time looking through it all to learn more about the history of the railroads. We also liked the location--walking distance to Main Street, but far enough away to get away from the noise. The only minor issue I had was with the Internet--unfortunately I had to work on vacation a little and the air card provided was not sufficient to support virtual meetings. Not a huge issue when the point is to get away from it all, but just in case it's something that can't be avoided. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!
