• THE SPACE
Bought in 2018 and lovingly renovated by the owner—a filmmaker who splits her time between Pioneertown and Los Angeles—the Pioneertown Lodge is a 2000 square foot three bedroom, two bath modern oasis just across the road from downtown Mane Street. Designed in the owner's unique style—a blend of Scandinavian hygge coziness and Japanese minimalism infused with the spirit of the desert—the home is furnished with carefully selected bohemian, modern and vintage pieces. You'll be sure to be entertained by the eclectic selection of records, books, and board games (and the owner's favorite deck of oracle cards.) It's the perfect place to connect with friends and family, or spend the night after a show at the iconic desert roadhouse Pappy and Harriet's. Hiking trails in the Pioneertown Mountain Preserve (a locals' favorite) are only a 10 minute drive away, and the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is just 25 minutes. Stroll over to downtown Pioneertown (about a mile away—a 15 minute walk) to check out the shops and the newly reopened Pioneer Bowl, grab tacos or drinks at Red Dog, hang out at Pappy's, and then head back to your dreamy abode to decompress and revel in the desert night sky—it's the perfect place for stargazing. You'll never want to leave.

• BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS
The property features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 6 people. The master has an en suite bathroom with a dramatic tiled shower and wall, and king bed with a luxury firm Saatva mattress. The other 2 bedrooms have queen beds with super comfy memory foam mattresses. The second bathroom is in the hall.

• LIVING + DINING
The property boasts an open floor plan that seamlessly transitions from one space to the next. Chat with a loved one in the conversation area. Sink in to the plush leather couch in the living area while you watch TV or listen to records, or play your music from the bluetooth enabled Bose soundbar. Dine while watching the sunset out the huge floor to ceiling windows (dining table seats 6-8.)

• KITCHEN
The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, pots and pans so you can cook up a nice desert meal. Two leather stools sit at the butcher block counter top, and the kitchen table has seats for 4. Coffee maker, cold brew maker, small Magic bullet blender, toaster, microwave, cocktail shaker.

• THE OUTDOORS
The property sits on just over an acre of land with plenty of hang out areas. Watch the sun set over the Sawtooth mountains from the front patio, or relax on a hammock on the covered back patio. Sit out by the propane firepit or chill in the hot tub. The back patio also has a propane grill and picnic table for all your BBQing needs. In the mood for lawn games? We have a bocce ball and croquet set, and a portable table tennis set you can set up on the picnic table.

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

• DEPOSIT
We do not charge a security deposit. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!

• A/C
Pioneertown Lodge is cooled by central AC and heat that will help keep the temperature enjoyable for your stay.

• WIFI
Please note that the wifi can be spotty and come in and out due to the remote location

• STAR GAZING
For viewing of the night sky, it is best to keep all lighting to a minimum. This includes lighting inside the house that can bleed out the night sky. Moonless nights are of course the best.

• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outdoor wooden fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave.

• WASHER/DRYER
House has a washer and dryer available to guests that are staying with us for an extended period of 3 or more days. If you are traveling with an infant or young children please let us know and we will give you access to the laundry room.

• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.

• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
