Pacific Monarch Rooftop Renovation
The building plans to begin these projects next week (3/13), which they expect to take about 2 months. For most of the work they will just close off small portions of the rooftop in the area they are working. There will be a few days the spa will be closed when they install new stone coping & deck tiles. The pool may require closure for one or two days to allow application of surface waterproofing around it. They are working with the contractors to try to minimize those closures by doing evening work when possible. The BBQ grills will be out of service 2 - 3 weeks when they work on that area beginning late next week (3/13) or the week after (3/20). The building will provide more details and report progress as materials arrive on island and dates are firmed up. In the meantime we wanted to inform our guests that there could be construction noise, paint smells (although its outdoors so shouldn’t be a big problem) & temporary closures of portions of the rooftop as they work on these projects. We needed to find a budget friendly location and this was perfect It's an easy block and a half from the beach (you've got pretty great views as well!). The queen bed isn't super comfy but having a separate bedroom is a plus. The bathroom is tiny - shower is very old and a bit rusted. The lanai is great. It has everything you need for a fully outfitted condo. The pool and roof top aren't super nice but we spent time up there and enjoyed ourselves. There are food trucks next door that are good and cheap! Would be nice if there was a broom and dust pan - we had to vacuum several times due to sand and such.
We had an awesome time in Hawaii! This location was close and in walking distance to the ocean and shops! The three of us enjoyed the view from our room and it was the perfect size for us!!
