Welcome to Liko Lehua Cottage in Volcano, Hawaii! Sleeps 2-4. Minutes from Volcano Village and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! Come and relax!

This sweet 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage with a screened-in lanai near Volcano Village is the perfect, serene setting amongst the hapuu fern forest to recharge your batteries and relax. Under new ownership and management.

Enjoy the sounds of the Upper Puna Hawaiian forest and the cool climate at 3000’ elevation. The native apanane and other Hawaiian birds are about the only things you'll hear at this quiet cottage retreat nestled in the rain forest near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The cottage features 2 large bedrooms both with king beds, a large bathroom with a custom walk-in shower, a spacious, well-appointed kitchen, formal dining for 6, and a cozy living room with a gas fireplace. There are skylights and big picture windows throughout the home for lots of natural light and views of the hapuu fern and ohia forest outside.

The home, of course, boasts all the modern amenities that are needed today: Cable TV and unlimited high-speed, wireless internet, washer/dryer and more.

This was our second time staying here and it didn';t disappoint again! It is clean, comfortable and convenient for our needs. Close to volcano National park just off of highway 11 giving easy access to numerous locations.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay for our family of four. When we checked in there was an issue with a few items left behind by the cleaners for which we contacted the property managers. Jolanta and Robinette were very professional and responsive in dealing with the issue. We found the cottage to be exactly as the pictures in the posting, well decorated and well maintained and well stocked as well. The location was great with Volcano National Park just a 5minute drive and Hilo and the South at a convenient driving distance as well. There are limited but good restaurant options nearby. The best part was hearing the beautiful rainforest sounds every time we stepped into the covered patio :)

We really enjoyed staying in Volcano and particularly in this cottage. It was so perfect for us! Our girls loved having toys to play with and it was nice to have toddler dishes,, high chair and pack n play available. We were very pleased with the condition of the cottage, those beautiful floors don';t squeak a bit! The screened in lanai was a lot of fun too.

I and my college age daughters stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Volcano National Park. We enjoyed our stay. 2 bedroom is perfect for us. we cooked dinner. it is about a mile from the volcano park, convenient located. We went to see the "glow" at night. the house is surround with tropical plants very quite. very easy communication with owner.

What a beautiful place to call home during our 10 day visit to HVNP! The setting in the rainforest is perfect and very close to HVNP. We enjoyed the cozy flannel sheets, fireplace and wonderful kitchen. Perfect size for our family and was beautifully decorated. Mahalo for making our first trip to the Big Island so memorable - will definitely recommend and return to Liko Lehua Cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Liko Lehua Cottage. From the minute we stepped in the front door we knew we had found the perfect place to call home for a week to enjoy the east side of the island. It is within minutes from VNP and within 45 minutes from Hilo, Pahoa, and Naalehu. The property is beautifully maintained and furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals at home if desired. The bed is extremely comfortable after a full day of exploring and hiking. Hawaii Life who manages the property was very easy to work with and we knew if any issues arrived they would be taken care of. Thankfully we did not have to contact them during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

This home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. And a fabulous view from every room!!! The kitchen is well equipped and we really appreciated the warm gas fireplace on cool nights. We loved being just a few minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. There are just a few places to eat and a small, interesting local grocery near Volcanoes NP so if you plan on preparing your own meals you might want to buy groceries before you come. If you are taking the Southern route from Kona airport, I would suggest shopping at Costco and/or the KTA Super Store-Keauhou just south of Kailua-Kona or in Hilo at the KTA Super Store-Puainako. These KTA stores usually have nice selections of meats and veggies.

What a find! A great cottage close to Volcanos National Park. All the comforts of home, well stocked on a nice quiet street and close to restaurants and local shops. If you have a chance to stay here your family will love it.

This 2 BR cottage is laid out perfectly for 2 couples or a small family, and has a well-equiped kitchen and laundry. The porch is a handy place to stage shoes and jackets and to just hang out in the comfy chairs. The host was communicative though we never saw her, and had no need for any help, repairs, etc. This was our favorite among several places we stayed in 3 weeks on Maui and Hawaii.

Every superlative you can think of applies to this cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but especially viewing the stars above the rim of the volcano crater just a 10 minute drive away. At 4000 ft cool!

This cottage in the woods was an extremely pleasant place to stay. Tucked into lush jungle, the sounds of the forest are the only thing to be heard. Everything about the place was comfortable and well appointed. Would have stayed forever if we could :)
