Kona makai is absolutely the best.<br/>I have been coming here since 1979. Learned to swim in that pool. Brought my kids here.<br/>Absolutely great place . Don't mind the pool rules so much kids need to play. It's definitely worth the stay .. I won't stay anywhere else. Each unit is great .<br/>Also bring snorkel gear you can go right out front every morning. <br/>One thing I do miss, is when they used to hang bananas in the cabana area. Was so much fun.<br/>We will be back soon.

We just left this Kona Maki condo. Our only complaint is that we couldn&#x2019;t stay longer. The balcony view is beautiful and we enjoyed coffee and watched sunsets as often as we could.

The Kona Makai condo is a very well taken care of, well equipped and well located within the complex. The cleaning service for this condo must be commended for their excellent work. The condo owner has made this rental very welcoming and comfortable, ensuring that there is lots of equipment for cooking and leisure activities. It has great views of the ocean and is in a quiet area of the complex near the swimming pool. The complex owners take pride in their property, ensuring it is clean and well kept, and that the rules are followed. We would highly recommend this unit and complex.

My family of four with elementary age kids had a comfortable stay. Unit had more useful stuff than other condos we stayed at - we found 3 coolers, a few beach bags, 4-5 sets of snorkel gear in the closet alone and few body boards under the bed. We didn't cook, but it appeared to have everything needed for cooking. Ocean views and sounds from the lanai were great. Location was close to downtown but not in the middle of things, which was a plus. Only downside is that some of the furniture and furnishings are older, worn-out - like the the couch which has some cushions with ripped fabric. Overall, great place to stay in Kona.

We loved our stay at Kona Makai room 6-203. The view was amazing and the room was very nice and comfortable. We were very impressed with all the amenities they had here. I have never stayed in a place that was so well equipped with anything you would need. Way to go with that. It was so nice to have all the beach chairs, towels umbrellas and even coolers or bags to put your things in. We definitely recommend for anyone to stay here. The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. We would for sure stay here again. Thank you,

This is always the best place ever

Great location, nice place

One of our best stays! The apartment was very cosy, we liked oceanic theme in the decorations. We also loved the kitchen, it was a pleasure to cook there. We also loved to watch the sunset from the balcony, great view. The bed was very comfortable. <br/>Highly recommend.

We were very delighted in the beautiful condo. We have stayed at several different condos, and this condo was very clean and very well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful.

Amazing!

This rental has a wonderful ocean location. The condo complex is lovely with a nice pool/hot tub-grills and deck chairs. Sunset views are perfect. <br/>The condo is well stocked with kitchen and recreation items that are a real bonus. Balcony overlooks pool with ocean view. Community is quiet and friendly.

This was a lovely relaxing place to stay and close to town. It was very clean and updated much more than the very expensive outdated hotel down the road. If I return to Hawaii again I will definitely be checking the availability of this rental.

We have been to Kona several times, but this year was special. We could feel the serenity and peace all around us at our stay in our lovely unit. my son and daughter-in-law joined us in another building at the complex. We had such a wonderful time together that we are planning on returning in a year or two. Thank you for such a lovely complex. it was so nice to wake up every morning and see the grounds picked up and maintained beautifully. I sure enjoyed watching the breakers come in for an hour early every morning!

This condo was perfect for us to enjoy after our daily adventures on the Big Island. It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Had beach chairs and coolers to use. Blake and Lia were great to work with and helped us reschedule our trip as we had to cancel 2 days before we were to leave due to illness. We were able to get a late check out on our last day which was helpful since we had a late flight. We were close enough to Kona for shopping and restaurants but far not to be in the middle of town. The lanai was very comfortable and we loved drinking our coffee while watching and listening to the waves in the morning. The property itself was beautiful and quiet.

This is always the best place ever

This was our first time staying in a vacation rental (not a resort or hotel room) and it was amazing! The condo was very clean and well equipped. The view from the lanai was awesome. Great pool and hot tub. The condo association has some pretty specific rules that are designed for everyone's enjoyment. Mostly common sense/courtesy. Check an and check out was super easy. Knutson & Associates provided great communication and made the whole process very easy. Much better than a hotel and no resort fees. We will be back!
