This location and this condo complex has been my “go-to” location for many years. It’s a hidden gem for travelers who prefer to stay away from mega resorts and large noisy complexes.
My adult daughters and I spent 8 days in unit 210. It was our first time in this particular unit.
Pros:
The view!
Clean and spacious unit
Nicely equipped kitchen
WiFi and entertainment options
Ceiling fans and two small AC units
Beautiful grounds and pool
Walk to Kona Country Club for breakfast-yum!
Shopping is close by
Quiet and private
Cons:
None!
BUT
This particular unit has lots of stairs to negotiate, so if mobility or stair climbing is an issue for you, be aware of the stairs.
We had an amazing time at this property! It was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The property managers were extremely responsive to our needs. There are 35 stairs to the door which was no problem for us. It was pretty hot when we got there but cooled of quickly when we opened things up and turned on the fans. Beautiful view from the lanai. There was a very nice grocery close with wonderful fresh produce and seafood to get what we needed for meals. Would definitely stay again.
This condo is a perfect place to stay if you wanted to either venture out and about the island or just stay locally and see the amazing sights. The property description, location, layout was accurate as described. I am particular about cleanliness and this condo was clean and well-maintained.
There is so much to see...I would suggest not to over book on expensive adventures, we choice three, one sports fishing day, Big Island Snorkeling and Sailing Adventure were outstanding, ( we saw some whales, too). To my disappointment the Whale watching trip was cancelled but we made up for it with other wonderful experiences. Ho’okena Beach Park excellent snorkeling adventure!! And don’t miss going to Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park (lots of turtles to view). We made it around the whole island over our eight day vacation! Don’t miss out on exploring, north point, Hilo, and the volcanoes! Truly amazing island filled with welcoming islanders. Two negatives... the fellow who cleaned the pool each day woke us up at 7:00 am with his leaf blower ( could he either use a broom or wait until later to start?? The WiFi didn’t connect to the internet. Neither of these negatives would deter our recommendation to stay at this condo. Mahalo!!
Amazing view. Great customer service.
We really enjoyed this top floor condo and its large lanai. The stairs are a good reminder to be mindful, to not overpack (there's laundry in the unit), and to be grateful you can still do the stairs! The condo had what we needed to cook our meals, eat them comfortably, and do the dishes. the owners have thoughtfully provided A/C which wasn't necessarily needed every night - but was sure appreciated when needed. Comfortable beds - including the murphy bed with handy screens for making a private space at night. Clean, comfortable and easy to be there. You cannot beat the ocean view. It's so lovely to watch it, and the golfers on the 9th hole of the Kona Country Club teeing off. Friendly, quiet place. Nice pool. Easy to walk down to several beaches and to the boat harbor. There's a fun weekly farmers market with food, crafts and music at the Outrigger down the road. Easy access to shopping, groceries, restaurants, and to golf. We really enjoyed the place. Thanks so much. Mahalo.
This was the third unit at Keauhou Akahi that we have stayed in, and it was by far our favourite. Out of the four buildings at Akahi, this building sits further back, giving this particular top floor unit the best view of the entire complex. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but it didn't bother us. It is very tastefully decorated with a blend of modern and traditional Hawaiian décor. It was super clean. It didn’t come with any spices or supplies in the kitchen but was otherwise very well equipped. They supply a roll of toilet paper and some hotel sized toiletries in each bathroom, but if you are staying for any length of time, you will need to bring your own. The management company sent us the odd text to check in on us which was convenient since we had a small issue with the toilet in one of the bathrooms. They promptly sent a repairman over to fix it. The location isn’t in town and about a mile walk to the closest shopping centre. I knew this and personally like the location of this complex, as it is conveniently located between Historic Kailua town, coffee country and the wonderful snorkeling at Honaunau. We will be visiting Kona again next year and will try to book this same condo.
Well equipped, very clean and reasonably quiet. This condo is on the top floor, which is quite a climb, but the view makes it worth it. Centrally located to Kona and other attractions. The layout worked very well for us, and we really loved having two bathrooms.
Excellent! Clear communication and easy to find. Fantastic location out of the hubub of town yet close in. Very clean and artificial fragrance-free. Comfortable beds including the Murphy bed. Great lanai with ocean view and a multitude of birds. Basic kitchen necessities. I recommend this property.

A lovely place to stay. Clean and comfortable! Great location with beach chairs and boogie boards along with a picnic cooler. It was all so nice.
We had a terrific stay at this secluded resort. It was well maintained and the ameneties were great. The view is unbelievable - even though not directly on the water, it had great water views as well as a golf course.
I was not told it was on third floor and 30 steps up to it. Had to have one of your guys to carry our luggage up and had to have a friend carry them down when we left. We are both in our mid sixties and I thought this was highly unprofessional not to be told the floor it was on and let me make the decision myself on which floor I was on. If someone had not helped from you company the night we arrived at 9 PM I would have demanded to be moved to a new unit or demanded a refund.
Our stay at 210 Keauhou Akahi was truly lovely. The condo was clean and in good shape and the view was delightful. The washing machine and clothes dryer were essential since it's hard not to get a little dirty with the variety of activities on the Big Island.
Reasonably good with some plusses and some minuses. The view was gorgeous, the steps to the "eagele's nest" forbidding for elders who can't climb stairs. Fortunately we can manage 35 steps but we couldn't invite friends over. We liked that it was a "home" with a little warmth and personalization. But it is an old property with all that means in Hawaii (damp smell, poor water pressure, sticky doors and windows, no air conditioning in the summer, uncomfortable furniture). The bed was very nice and the baths well remodeled although designed for tall people (I couldn't see in the mirrors). All in all it was a very nice location. We would not return, however, as my husband likes to have an exercise room and a pool bigger than the "kiddie" size on the property.
Arriving at night with the place all locked up and no fans going was a bit much for our temperature shocked bodies. But once we had the doors and windows all open and the fans going it cooled right down.
Found it hard to figure out which building was ours as there is no obvious signage from the parking lot. And while the app is an interesting feature, it only worked on my iPad which was useless since the info we needed was in a file that required wifi. The new update made that info accessible without wifi, but that came after we spent 20mins trying to find the lock box code. Also wasn't aware of the 4 flights of stairs we had to hike to get to our door.
This all said, the beautiful tropical flower oasis behind our building and the AMAZING view from the lanai added to the wonderful charm of this rental.
Some dishes and cutlery (specifically the knives in the chopping block) were not very clean when we arrived, but we left them cleaner.
Note to people over 5 foot 2...don't get dressed in the bedroom or the bathrooms with the fan on, it hurts.
The latch on the screen door for the lanai broke and Blake sent someone out right away to fix it, the only way we knew they had been there was because the door was locked when we came home. Very efficient.
The Keauhou mall is right close by and has a great grocery store with reasonable prices and Sam Choys restaurant with really good food...highly recommend the Mac Nut chicken!
Jason at Knudson and Associates, was really great. Our flight arrived late at midnight Jason was wonderful and very patient in getting us to the condo. The condo has beautiful view of the ocean. Having two separate beds to sleep in was great too. The living room has a murphy bed which was comfortable.. The master bedroom was beautifully done and had a great memory foam
mattress which was great for my mom's aging back. Thank you for letting us stay in such a quiet peaceful [lace to celebrate my mothers birthday. I hope to come back someday. Only issue was the 5 flights of stairs and no elevator to get to the top floor which was okay for me but difficult for my mom.
As others noted it is not obvious which building 210 is in (building 2, directly across from the pool). The groundskeeper (really nice guy) pointed out the unit and told us the best place to park. And yes you climb stairs up to the 3rd story where baby geckos greet you before scurrying away.

We really liked the location; we like to walk and found it was a 15 minute (1/2 mile) walk down to Keauhou Bay (hint - Google doesn’t know about the shortcut path south of building 1) and the public shoreline trail by the Sheraton. The shopping center up the highway is also walkable-great grocery store and ice cream shop (plus restaurants we didn’t manage to try). It was a short drive to popular Kona beaches, and easy to get on the main north/south highway.

We lived on the lanai- ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, read, watched sunsets, golfers and birds. Utilized the binoculars and reference books (birds, fishes, plants, etc). And really appreciated the beach bag, towels and chairs, and the cooler for our day trips. The pool and grounds were well maintained and it was a friendly complex.

The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Was pleasantly surprised the knives were sharp. Be aware the black pottery dishes are stamped something like “will get very hot in microwave” and it means it!

We will recommend this to friends, and would definitely stay here again.
Keauhou Akahi #210 is a nice, quiet condo with an amazing view of the golf course and the ocean. The sunset took my breath away each night as I watched it from the lanai or took the short drive down the the shoreline at the Sheraton.
