Granite Falls Chalet is an elegant mountain home that is perfect for entertaining and will graciously accommodate family groups with separate living areas, two master suites, a fireplace on each floor, two wet bars, laundry facilities on two levels and a huge 2-car garage.
From the open living room with large windows and side decks you are immersed in the pristine forest and the sounds of the creek. When you aren’t enjoying the mountain air you can snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace and large TV. This makes for a perfect gathering space with plenty of seating and easy access to the kitchen and dining area.
The large open contemporary kitchen is a chef’s dream, with stainless steel appliances, including Thermador cooktop, double ovens, dual dishwashers, and Sub-Zero refrigerator, complemented by custom cabinetry and granite counters.
Opening up to the kitchen is the dining area that is also inspired by its natural surroundings. This masterpiece is balanced with contemporary style and warm mountain finishes. The table will seat eight with room for six more at the adjoining Hibachi-style granite island.
After a long day, you’ll delight in any of the four bedrooms. The master suite is well appointed with a spacious sitting area, wet bar, fireplace, and private deck to enjoy the sounds of the creek and the magnificent setting that is your backyard. The second master suite also includes a king bed and a private fireplace. Both masters have private en suite bathrooms. Additionally, on the upper level, there is a queen bedroom and a bunk room with 2 full over full bunkbeds. These rooms share a bathroom. All the bathrooms feature travertine tile, slab countertops, and Hans Groehe stainless fixtures.
When it is time for playing games or watching movies, gather in the recreation/media room. There you will find a foosball table, large TV, fireplace and wet bar with wine refrigerator.
During ski season our on-call shuttle service also picks up from the house providing easy access to the nearby Steamboat Ski Resort or anywhere else you’d like to go in town. But with abundant outdoor living space, a seasonal stream and five decks to take in the views, it could be hard to leave.
