Description
This cabin-esque 4BR/4BA Tahoe City house has a great location in the very sought after Dollar Point area which is a lakeside neighborhood. You're also just a short distance to the Dollar Point pool and the private beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.
The interior is flooded with natural light thanks to its big windows. Wood accents throughout give it a Tahoe vibe, while the ample space allows for multiple families.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Step inside the living room with unique vaulted ceilings above two couches and a TV. The living room seats approximately eight and is warmed by the gas fireplace. One bathroom on this floor provides a glass shower.
Prepare home-cooked meals in the modern kitchen loaded with stainless steel appliances, cooking utensils, and a breakfast bar that seats two. A wood dining room table seats eight for festive meals.
The rustic master bedroom supports a huge flat-screen TV resting on plenty of dresser space and a king-size bed. The master bathroom has a tiled standing shower along with a separate tub.
A baby-friendly guest bedroom provides a king-size bed and a crib, if needed. The guest bathroom has an ornate tile standing shower and modern sink. Another kid-friendly bedroom contains two wooden twin bunk beds: just like a sleepover! The last guest bedroom has a queen-size bed.
A lush backyard is a great place for resting on the hammock or eating as a family at the picnic table. Want some burgers? Cook them up on the grill out on the patio. For relaxation, take a dip in the hot tub!
The LOCATION
Located in the very sought after Dollar Point Area: a gorgeous lakeside neighborhood. The rental is also just a short distance to the Dollar Point pool, a private beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, and 2 miles from Tahoe City and its splendid bike trails.
Head to one of the great cross country ski areas like Tahoe Cross Country with exciting trails and lake views. Winter is the perfect time for skiing at places like Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, or Northstar at Tahoe.
EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS
Dollar Point community amenities are available for a nominal daily fee -- including a heated outdoor pool, tennis club, pier (open Memorial Day through the last day of September), and access to Dollar Point Beach.
Facility access is limited to only members, their immediate family, and guests who accompany them on Saturdays between June 21, 2020, and September 7, 2020, as well as the 3rd and 4th of July. Please note: Dollar Point amenities will not be available to guests beginning in 2021.
Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances.

The 4 BR/4 BA configuration ensured that everyone had privacy. The beds were all comfortable. The 2nd MBR is a family suite with a crib and closet converted to include 2 twin beds, though only a small child would be content to sleep in that dark and airless space. A high chair is available. Pool floats, rings and noodles are in the garage. We enjoyed grilling on the deck, dining on the picnic table, and playing on the large, level lawn. The house was clean and comfortable and well laid out. We loved being able to dump all of our hats, jackets, and shoes in the mud room.
For a luxury house, however, there are some less than desirable features including burned out light bulbs and non-functioning light fixtures, a broken microwave (though an old large substitute was placed on the counter), some window coverings that didn't work, a very soiled carpet runner in the kitchen, scuffed walls in the bunk room and upstairs hall, many locked owners' cupboards which made it difficult to find space to store our food in the kitchen and gave us no place to hang our clothes in the bedrooms, a dishwasher that didn't clean effectively, a tear in the faded MBR duvet cover, fitted sheets that wouldn't stay in place due to the slippery mattress covers, TV's that never had a signal, no facial tissue, dirty cushions in the window seat, no dish soap or kitchen sponge, no serving bowls or platters, incomplete measuring spoon/cup sets, no rubber spatula, no basting brush, and no teakettle. Because we had 2 small children in the household we prepared virtually all of our meals at the house. I knew I had to bring all of my own foods and spices; I just wasn't prepared for the lack of other kitchen items.
