My boyfriend and I rented this place for a weekend getaway to relax. It was absolutely perfect! Had so many deer right in the front yard throughout our stay. Loved the bikes and being able to bike around all the gorgeous farmland. Enjoyed the hot tub and amazing star gazing at night. Also this place was only a short ride into downtown Fredericksburg so we had great access to some nice restaurants and spas.

Lovely little cabin with views for miles! We enjoyed every minute of our stay, especially the nice hot tub privately located in the back! Would highly recommend!<br/>

Always love the place, have been going since 2008. There was some issues, not big ones. The loveseat is broke, breath on it, and it kicks. back. Door to bathroom has been missing since 2008. Hasnt really been updated like the others, but this is the first one, and those are newer. 1st year, a pineapple cake was waiting for us, plus some drinksand stuff. No longer a deer feeder, but Celtic has one. Went and bought a bag to feed. No breakfast vouchers like in the past.

Quiet location with amazing star viewing at night.

My husband and I needed a little Spring Break getaway where we could feel like we had some privacy, yet still access some fun. We found that in this adorable little cottage. It's just outside of the downtown area so there's an out in the country vibe and quiet nature. It's just close enough to downtown that we could go into town to shop and eat and enjoy the classic Fredericksburg experience. As much as we love Fredericksburg, we just loved coming back to chill at this cottage. The front porch view was beautiful and the back porch hot tub was all the perk we needed! Inside we loved the full kitchen and a nice big bed! It was very clean and decorated so cute! We wished we would have booked it for longer and can't wait to go back!

Our rental experience was very good. The Apian Way Avalon Cottage was perfect for us. Great views of the hills to the north, far enough outside of Fredericksburg to avoid the crowds, and close enough to be convenient.

Overall we had a wonderful time staying at the Avalon cottage for a long weekend. The open layout has a spacious living area, king bed, and full kitchen. The hot tub in the back is very private and we could go out stargazing without seeing other people. There were only a few minor suggestions: 1) add signs to make it easier to find the property. It was extremely difficult, especially at night. 2) add a bit more kitchen ware, for example a sheet pan for the oven. 3) the bed is very hard. Perhaps a mattress topper would improve that. 4) there is no wifi, which was a bit of a letdown as we like to bring a roku stick and watch subscription shows rather than television. We still had an excellent time and would consider staying again.
