Nancy L. July 30, 2018
We reserved 477 Ala Wai Unit 90. That first evening we noticed some ants in the kitchen. By morning, the ants were all over the kitchen and the upstairs bedroom. I called at 7:05 a.m. to report the problem and was told by the answering service they would get the message to the property management. I called again at 8:58 a.m., 2:32 p.m., and 5:56 p.m., to get updates only to be told that maintenance was supposed to get to the unit to deal with the problem. They never made it despite the notification I gave first thing in the morning, SO THE ANTS GOT TO INVADE THE CONDO THE ENTIRE DAY. Furthermore, the person I had been speaking with throughout the day left without giving me an update as to the lack of resolution of the situation. We took the offer of a house that was available to move into (another condo was offered, but we did not have assurance that ants would not be there as well) by the person who was then in the office (she was more helpful). It was a small consolation since we spent three hours that evening getting ants out of the items we had brought (including washing out items), packing up, and moving into the house.
