The house was perfect for us. It was sparkling clean and very comfortable. Great location, near enough to downtown to be handy, but in a really quiet neighborhood. When we come back to Austin, we hope this gem is available!

This home was filled with charm at every level. My husband and I highly recommend this home, for your next Austin trip. It was clean, cozy, and filled with all the necessities one would need to feel at home. Lovely, lovely, lovely......5 star rating!

A group of 4 ladies spent a couple of nights enjoying Austin and this great cottage. It was comfortable, clean and in a great location. We could walk to restaurants, shopping and the food trucks on the corner.
I would definitely recommend this house and would love visit it again.

Great location with a wonderful front porch and beautiful landscaping.

We couldn't have found a better choice. A well appointed and immaculate house with some outside space right next to 1st and a 10 min walk to SOCO. Donuts and coffee just steps away. Top to bottom, a great rental, from toiletries and comfortable beds to a roomy master shower. The couch is a bit lumpy and shallow, but you're in Austin so why stay at home?

P.S. Check out the moonlight tower at the end of the block. How did they erect these just 2 years after Edison invented the light bulb?

The house is sweet. I'd like to have been able to see out the windows but that may just the way it is with the Texas trees that drop eternal pollen. The antiques are lovely and the feel is good.

we arrived late and it was dark. we really could not see anything but the house. I had booked a few month's prior to our trip. I was really pleased by what I had found. the house was like stepping back into time. the house was nicely laid out and very up to date. it was totally refinished with modern appliances, but with a touch of 1920's living. we loved it

It was love at first sight. For my wife, so and myself this was a really beautiful cottage, perfectly presented, and amazingly clean and tidy. The location worked very well, just a 2 minute drive into downtown Austin, and a 5 minute walk to the SoCo shops and restaurants. There is truly nothing to complain about, it was perfect!

I arrived late due to terrible traffic on the freeway to Austin and had trouble finding the place due to a gps error. I called Turnkey's number and was helped by a cheerful woman. The cottage was wonderful: comfortable and beautifully furnished. Friends coming by after dinner were amazed by how nice it was. I enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning watching young families and joggers. It was a perfect retreat after some long days of work.

We had great weekend. Location and facilities good. Nice porch to sit on viewing surrounds of garden, squirrels, people watching.

This is a charming 2 bedroom/2 bath home. The inside is decked out with antiques and period pieces. It was exactly what we needed for our F1 weekend. Close to 1st street and Congress. Lots of food nearby. They were very responsive to our needs.

Loved staying at this house instead of a hotel downtown. We enjoyed the porch & lawn everyday, 2 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms. The location was amazing, just a short walk to South Congress which we did several times a day. We also walked to downtown Austin for lunch, it was so great being so close to everything. The price was just shy of what a hotel would cost and you get so much more! Loved it and will definitely book again if we get the chance!

Got up to hot water. Number for man on location did not answer. I woke up owner who was very foggy and did not know quite what to do about it but stated it had happened once before. She had me hanging on the phone and not saying much...I guess because I woke her. So I asked her to call me back when she figured it out. It was fixed late that evening but very inconvenient not being able to shower for our early meeting. It was very clean but the sitting room wing chair arms were very dirty an should probably be cleaned as it did not look very nice. There was WAY to much information on little notes everywhere on how to work the heated floors and other inconsequential notes. All the notes given indicated we had to program it, when all we needed to do was simply turn it on. So we didn't have heat on the cold floors the first two days because we tried to program it and thus caused it not to work. The owner was sweet but she was a bit befuzzled about things. We asked for a stronger bulb for the bedroom as we could barely see...we received that the 3rd night before we left with other items we did not ask for. The next morning we left to go get coffee returning 15 min later and could not get back in as the doors automatically lock after a certain hour. I knew that it was a fairly early checkout but that they were very flexible and we could leave early afternoon if need be. Miscommunication there, so we had to call the owner who laughed very strangely and reluctantly had to give us her private code as she could not come over to let us get back in to get our luggage. One of the bathrooms wall plug did not work for my hair dryer and had to use the one in the bedroom with no mirror by that plug. We were not terribly dissatisfied but those little irritants were enough especially when we should have been offered a little refund for the inconvience of no hot water at the rate of 220.00 a night. Just a little disappointed.

This home is lovely! Clean and roomy with thoughtful extra touches (like a coffee/tea bar) that make you feel welcomed. The location is just a quick walk to South Congress but it is on a quiet street. We really enjoyed staying here for our Austin Thanksgiving.

House is charming and location is excellent! I would highly recommend the property and the amenities. The property was clean and spacious. What I was not pleased with was TurnKey Management. When we walked in, there was a Samsung tablet plugged into the kitchen. That night at 10:30 we had our 5 daughters over to visit (we were 5 ladies over 40) and we were playing a game and laughing/clapping. At 10:45 I received a call from management saying they received a call from the neighbors regarding noise. I immediately apologized and went outside to tell the neighbors. No neighbors were home and they never placed a complaint. Come to find out the Samsung tablet was watching/listening to us. We were extremely upset by this and were told by Austin friends this is what the management company does.

We loved this cottage. Perfectly clean. Wonderful extra amenities and we especially enjoyed the surrounding gardens. Will stay again! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Home was just as described. Walking distance to food trucks and shopping on Congress. A short bike ride to downtown or Zilker park, Will be staying here again.

Great rental! Felt right at home. Beautiful decor, great beds, convenient to everything. Great rental property!

There were two things that bothered me about this rental. We found out, upon arrival, that the stove did not work. This definitely put a damper on our plans. Also in both bedrooms you are not able to have complete privacy as the drapes do not come together and people from the outside can see in the windows. The house was cute and the antique furniture was comfortable.

The place ws so charming and had a lot of history to it, but was also modern and updated. It had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, towels, robes, toiletries, etc) and we instantly felt right at home. The location was wonderful, as it was close to shops and restaurants and it felt very peaceful and safe. We just loved our time there!

This little house is walking distance to some of the best dining spots in Austin-Sway, Lenoir, Elizabeth st cafe-are all around the corner. As are the food trailers. The house itself shares a lot w 2 other properties. It's well maintained and a lot of basics are provided for cooking as well as in the bathrooms. There are detailed explanations for how everything in the house works, as well as suggestions for what to do in Austin. The house was spotless when we arrived-our 8 month old baby crawled all over the floor without gathering dust..

Lovely cottage, convenient to everything. Great for two couples - good private and shared space.

We enjoyed our stay somewhat at your rental. On the positive side it was very well located in Austin.

The main negative outside of having no hot water on the Saturday morning of a wedding we were attending was the lack of privacy in the front bedroom. There is no easy way to shut the drapes/curtains in the evening when after dark. With lights on in that room folks outside can see through the lace "curtains" and it is not possible to darken the room from outside street lights. Our only option was to undress in the dark or bathroom. Also there was no bar soap in the showers. Men appreciate having that vs body wash or scrub. This was our first experience with a rental. Considering the above, next time we will probably opt for a hotel.
Your staff was very accommodating and courteous. Thx

This house is a great location for anything near downtown or outdoor concerts.
Klaus H. April 15, 2015
In one word: Excellent, thank you!
The house is tastefully decorated and fully equipped. We immediately felt at home, and it was very nice to meet Sue, who came by to greet us. I also liked the binder with a lot of helpful Information. The Location is just perfect, within walking distance of SoCo shops and restaurants, and close to a bus stop. At the same time, sitting on the porch with a Cup of coffee was quite relaxing, so this house offered everything we hoped for. We had a great time and will make sure to book well ahead of time for our next trip :)

Our first stay in a VRBO property could not have been better! The location is in the heart of SOCO, and close to downtown by car. The house is very quaint and appointed in a manner very fitting with the age of the home, while having every modern amenity. The sofa is a little uncomfortable, but so pretty. I give this place a big thumbs up!
