It was very nice and roomy. Some plumbing upgrades were needed, the couch needs to be replaced it was almost impossible to stand up from. Other than that it was a fun week.

Cushions on chairs inside and out could use some cleaning and also inside of drawers in bathrooms were dirty

We chose this unit because the photos and info listed on the website. The room with bunk beds was shown with a 3rd single twin. When we arrived the single twin was gone (a dresser and TV was in it's place). BW was quick to bring a blow up bed and extra bedding to make up for the missing bed but ultimately we really wanted a real bed. Also, the bunk beds are put together wrong (bottom bunk should be switched to top position). No railing on the top bunk and too small a space in between beds so it's very cramped. The living room was described as having "several wicker arm chairs with nice cushions" and these did not exist. We ended up using our beach chairs as additional seating which was fine but kind of a pain. One of the window screens was missing but BW came immediately to reinstall. When we arrived upon check in (at 3pm) the cleaning crew was still there and we were not able to completely use the house until 4pm. Since we were there waiting for them to finish, I felt the cleaning team may have hurried through the process. The place was clean enough but after looking more thoroughly there were a few things missed (soap residue and hairs in shower - so I had to rescrub with Ajax). The place in general is pretty old, not all blinds in bedrooms work and it needs a really DEEP clean. All the closets are full of junk and dusty so not usable. Great deck size but table and chairs are rusty, and cushions are dirty. The garage space we used has lots of stuff in it making an already small parking spot very hard to park in. When we contacted BW about our issues via phone call, BW was quick to respond and attempted to help. BW management even stopped by for a visit on our arrival day and we were able to relay everything to a PERSON which was great! We understand not all things are guaranteed in perfect condition but I do feel we pay for what is described online so I hope BW updates this rental info page/photos at the very least.

I spent the first two days of my vacation in the unit waiting for repair or maintenance men while my family waited for me at the beach. In fairness to Burr White, Diane offered a new unit. The only problem was were with a group of four families (all different units)on the same street, a 27 Year tradition. I asked for some other kind of compensation, I thanked Diane for her help after we got home, Silence. I guess ten years of renting does not warrant a response. They got my money, then to pour salt on the wound, I got an email. "Do you want to reserve the unit for next year". Wow

This place was just 4 houses up from the beach which was good for us. We did not want to be right on the beach due to all the people on the boardwalk but close enough to walk to and from beach with all our stuff. We have a 5 and 8 year old that were able to walk up if they needed and we were able to keep an eye on them from where we were on the beach. We have rented several other places and this one was by far the best. Not to close to the pier but close enough to walk to. Also close enough to walk or bike to Albertsons.

We rented the upper and lower units of this house and though they were both way too hot, the upper unit was almost unbearable. There weren't enough fans provided so we ended up having to buy one so we could sleep at night. Also, the pull-out bed in the living room is hardly that. The springs were completely broken and not sleepable. We had to buy an air mattress. BurrWhite finally sent a rollaway bed FIVE days into our trip, but it was a single which didn't quite make up for the advertised pull-out that was supposed to sleep 2. Bathrooms need serious updating. Shower was completely clogged with sand the day we arrived and we weren't able to have it fixed until the following day so we were short a shower for 24 hours. We didn't feel like the unit was properly cleaned, either. Overall, I would never rent this upper unit alone. The location is also way too close to the pier which makes for a crowded beach, more noise/chaos, and difficult parking.

The house needs a good cleaning, all dishes need to be washed before using.The blinds were not working properly, the few rugs that were there need to be washed. A huge pile of dirty sheets and towels greeted us in the hallway upon arriving. Beds were comfortable, so that is a huge plus for the house. The third bed in the bunk bed room does NOT exist anymore. The agent did not believe me when I called her, but she did send a foldaway in immediately. I believe that Burr White employees need to make an inspection of their homes at least once a month.
The location was great and accurate in description.

House was a great size, but was not clean when we took it over. Poorly stocked with crockery. Lots of cupboards that seemed to have lots of things stored. Definitely needs renovation and a really deep clean.

Beds were very comfortable, and sheets / towels were beautifully clean.

We loved the location but definitely need a first floor. The balcony banisters are wide enough apart to fit my five year old. Please make sure there's a broom in there...necessity. The tub was plugged and I called burr reality and explained the problem on the answering machine and no one got back to me. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived and food under the fold out couch.

Wow! It was great for the whole family, and it was great having our best friends right down stairs from us. It gave us our own space yet had someone to share the experience with. Seriouly considering another Newport Trip next year. John Brandon
