Enjoyed the cabin very much particularly the jacuzzi in the master suite and hot tub on the deck. The TV in the master suite was not working properly. The screen went out on an off for some reason. And also there was a significant temperature difference between the top level in the bottom level. So if we were warm and comfortable on the top level it was quite cold on the bottom level. Otherwise everything else was outstanding and I would return for sure.

This was our 6th different Chalet Village cabin rental, and we've enjoyed them all. This cabin allowed us to bring our dog, which was a nice benefit over some of the other cabins.

We were so impressed with this cabin! It was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly suited to our needs. It's located close to downtown Gatlinburg where we spent the majority of our days, and the quiet seclusion was the perfect atmosphere for our evenings. I also appreciate that it is pet friendly without skimping on quality accommodations and comfort. Can't wait to visit again!

Quiet chalet, interior updated, kids liked pool table in basement. We would stay here again. The only negative was the hot tub tripped the breaker and would not work.
Linda Z. October 10, 2018
We enjoyed our time at this chalet, sitting on the deck listening to the sound of the water from the creek below was so relaxing, the convenience of the kitchen having everything to make our meals easily, comfy beds, and beautiful layout. We did find a few things that need attention, first thing was the electric blow a circuit when using the microwave and the grill at the same time, the fridge froze a lot of the food we brought to eat, and the dining table glass top is not seated well, when we sit down to have dinner it would moved back and forth, also the sink in the main floor bathroom was running out very slow, I think the trap needs to be cleaned out, we also notice the area on the left side of the chalet had trash threw around on the ground. All would be very easy fixes to make for a perfect stay next time.

Just what we needed
Anonymous April 22, 2016
I am always a little hesitant booking online. Pictures can be so decieving. Finer than frog hair met our expectations in every way. The unit was just as described. Clean, inviting and smelled delightful. If it wasn't for the pet crate downstairs I wouldn't have known it was pet friendly. There was not a sign of previous pets anywhere.
The owners had games and books available to pass the time. It was located high in the mountains, my kids enjoyed watching the lift go by. It was private enough to make even the most modest person comfortable in the hot tub.
The rental office staff were very friendly and helpful. They directed us to multiple money saving coupons. The unit is located just a few minutes/ short drive from gatlinburg.

My only advice is book the unit and see for yourself I doubt you will be disappointed!!

This is a nice place but we are 75 years old and the steep steps were scary. We should have been warned about that. My husband almost fell carrying our cooler down the steps and he never went down those steps to the lower level.

We were very happy with our spur of the moment decision to stay at Froghair. We happened to choose it simply because it was the only two bedroom pet friendly cabin, but we'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unlike some of the other cabins I saw online, Froghair is not dated at all. It actually feels like everything has recently been updated. Everything in great condition, and overall everything was clean. The view from the deck on the back is great, it overlooks a small stream (and the sound of the water was great.) It overlooks the road, which you can just barely see through the leaves on the trees in the spring. The road is not obvious at all, and it would be the only "breach" of privacy on the back deck so it really does feel private.

The kitchen is very well equipped, I've stayed in some beach rentals that have nothing so I come prepared. We didn't actually need any of it, there were plenty of spatulas, serving spoons, etc. (I think there were actually 3-4 corkscrews!) The only thing I can recommend you bring is a kitchen knife, I was only able to find a small serrated knife in the drawers at the time of our stay. If you aren't doing any cooking you won't care, but if you plan on dicing/prepping you might want a chefs knife. Everything else is provided, dishwasher and dish detergent was on hand and they were generous in providing paper towels.

Both bedrooms are nicely equipped and feature access to cable and a dvd player, there are also a few books and movies in the living room and some games downstairs with the pool table. We found both beds adequate, they are your standard hotel style mattresses, but they are not worn so we got some good sleep. You may want to bring a sleep mask if you are sensitive to light and want to sleep in. The windows only have simple curtains, so no extra blinds to block out the light.

The pictures didn't do the place justice! It was bigger and better then i thought it would be.

Came up from Florida on the way to Ohio to stay for a few days to celebrate both of our birthdays. Cabin was attractively decorated, comfortable. Hot tub wasn't heating up first night but next morning reported issue and it was immediately taken care of. The hot tub was covered and private - a definite plus. Kitchen had everything we needed. Looked very clean other than a dog bone hidden under the coach that our dog sniffed out. Down stairs was a lot colder than the up - which could be a problem with guests staying in both bedrooms, however not a problem since we were alone. Gas fireplace put off a lot of heat and we definitely took advantage of it. We enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely consider staying there again although we try to stay at different cabins each time we come. No complaints very nice stay.

We had a wonderful time staying in this chalet. Very clean and comfortable and had all the things we needed. This was our second time to stay here and we love it. A very nice chalet and dog friendly too! Will def stay there again. Chalet Village staff is awesome.

Very easy to book and very friendly staff

We were very satisfied with the property mgt. we have used Chalet Village before and have found if there is a problem they are quick to fix it.This property accepts dogs but no grassy area near by to walk them.If you have any type of health issues going up and down steps this is not the place for you! There are a lot of steps to get into the home plus one room is downstairs. This home has a lot of stairs. The home is very clean and well kept. Location is not to far from downtown Gatlinburg.
Dwayne H. October 28, 2015
Had an outstanding visit. Pictures are accurate and everything in working order.
Christopher R. July 24, 2016
Such a wonderful experience! The cabin was very clean, updated and well stocked. We had a wonderful time. The road going up was a little nerve wracking. But only because the normal road was closed for construction. It's close to Gatlinburg. Maybe 10 minutes. It's off of ski mountain road so it's basically in town. We will definitely be back! The only complaint I had was there aren't a lot of tv channels, but we brought movies and it was great!
David B. July 8, 2015
We had such a great time, we are hoping to rent the same cabin every year. The location is perfect and the cabin layout is awesome. The hot tub was and added extra that was nice!
James P. April 4, 2015
Chalet villages were really accommodating location was only minutes the chalet was perfect
Daniel W. January 7, 2015
Great pet-friendly house.
Ezra D. November 5, 2015
This WAS the best place I have ever stayed by far. It was clean, and nicely decorated. I loved that there was a TV in every room. Surrounded by all the fall trees as we looked out the windows. The staff at Chalet Village were great to deal with. I will be staying here again!
Marlene W. October 19, 2016
We had a lovely experience here. It was easy to book, nice to be able to look at the cabins on line and choose the one you like, Unlike booking a motel room and being stuck with what ever they give you. The only thing i did not like was the location. I would have liked a better view, we were surrounded by trees which made it kind of dark.
Steve B. May 30, 2016
We had booked a one room cabin from another company and when we arrived, well let's just say it wasn't what we were led to believe it was (this company did refund us 100%). We called Chalet Village and spoke with Kathy and she helped us to find a cabin, which happened to be a two bedroom cabin very quickly. She made sure we got to the place and that we were pleased with the cabin. It was just perfect and the was cheaper than the one bedroom cabin. We enjoyed the tranquil spot. We definitely will be renting from Chalet Village on the future. Thank you for the great friendly service.
Dennis M. January 5, 2016
Definitely lives up to its name. Lovely little chalet! Great setting, well appointed, recently updated. Everything we could have wanted or needed. Could have stayed there forever! We will be back! Thank you to the owners and Chalet Village for a wonderful get-away!6
Ryan Ann W. February 7, 2016
We have been staying with Chalet Village for over 4 years now and can't say enough good stuff. I know that we will always get a great deal and that the staff will make things right if it's not perfect. The chalets are beautiful and the staff is genuienly as nice as can be. We love going to Gatlinburg and we always look forward to our next stay with Chalet Village!!!
Brandy K. March 6, 2016
We had an amazing experience in Gatlinburg and will definitely be booking with Chalet Village the next time we come. The only negative thing about our trip was the room downstairs where our bedroom was. Temperatures were fixed easily upstairs with a thermostat and gas log fireplace. However, the downstairs stayed freezing cold our entire stay. Everything else was sensational.
Robin E. March 11, 2016
Loved the chalet and had a wonderful stay.
Steve L. April 4, 2016
This was our second stay at this property and our seventh stay at Chalet Village. We love Finer Than Froghair and will be staying there the next time we visit. Recommendations for this property: a gas or charcoal grill and repair or replace hot tub.
Amanda B. March 9, 2016
The perfect place to relax, and the property is absolutely gorgeous!!! I will definitely stay here again!!!

We have stayed with Chalet Village for over 15 years and enjoy trying new chalets each year. Great, friendly staff!
Danette B. August 11, 2013
My family had a great time in this cabin!! It was comfortable for all 4 of us. My children are 17 and 20 and they also loved it! It is decorated beautifully and was very clean. It was only about a 10 minute drive down the mountain to Gatlinburg. We loved coming back from a day of site seeing and relaxing in the hot tub or playing pool. We saw a couple bears climbing up the mountain side behind the cabin. I would recommend this cabin and would love to return.
Gary and Deborah T. June 10, 2013
The cabin was fabulous. It's so nice to have a quiet, clean place to stay with all the comforts of home. We would highly recommend this cabin. Everyone involved with our planning were kind, gracious and very professional. Thank you so very much.
Jackie D. October 29, 2013
Loved the was perfect for our family! We loved the two levels and that there were two king suites. That might not be important to many, but our two sons shared the downstairs suite and one of them is 6'5". Our preteen daughter slept on the couch and loved it. The pool table was awesome. With all the hiking and sightseeing we did, who would have thought we would have had time for multiple pool games? But we did, by cramming them in before breakfast and late at night. Our bichon frise was also happy to be along and the crate was very large and roomy for him. The place was very clean and well-appointed. There wasn't much of a view, but we hiked and climbed to our views :). Overall, a wonderful stay at a wonderful place. We made wonderful memories with our soon to be on-their-own kids and that's what it's all about. God bless the owners of Finer Than Frog Hair!

The drive to this chalet is a bit treacherous, especially when wet. The hot tub was very foamy and indicates either excessive chemicals or soapy residue - we did not use it. Other than that, we enjoyed the chalet and our stay.
Anonymous October 17, 2013
Property was very clean. The furniture was nice and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items plus unexpected extra's. The beds were very comfortable and had lots of privacy. I also loved the fact that I could bring my dog and even a carrier cage was provided. The way it was decorated made it feel very homey. Would stay here again!
Anonymous April 6, 2013
Our stay was very pleasant. The cabin was in a great location near Gatlinburg. It was very clean and well supplied. I would certainly recommend this chalet to others.
Robert M. March 29, 2016
It was a nice vacation. There were two negative things about my experience. First was what seemed to be a gas leak. We had to call the fire department and stand outside while it was checked. They told us it was a sewage leak that can cause the strong odor that smelled like natural gas. But definitely a scare having 2 toddlers with us. And secondly was the check in process. I arrived very late, and not having a 24 office made the only option to get my directions and code to the rental of taping my name on an envelope on the office front door, acceptable by anyone. That wasn't safe at all. They could've sent me the code to my email with directions. Anyone could have taken that envelope and had access to a rental I paid for.
Kim S. November 9, 2013
The cabin was gorgeous. The drive up to it was a little rough. The staff were the kindest people that I had ever met. The were overly kind and so helpful. I will stay there again.
Anonymous January 1, 2014
We loved staying at this chalet! The living room was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and we loved having a private bathroom in each bedroom. The provided dog crate also came in handy! The only problem we experienced were the dishes- we took them out of the cabinet and nearly every plate had old food crusted on them. Aside from this issue, we had a wonderful time here! The road to get to the chalet was a little nerve-wracking... too narrow for our liking, but this obviously has nothing to do with the quality of the chalet. We've stayed at multiple chalets over the years, and this definitely ranks as one of the best! With beautiful wooded scenery!
Gary V. November 29, 2013
Very pleasant. The one thing we did not like was the Map Quest directions which were very confusing.
Anonymous January 23, 2014
We enjoy our stay love everything about the Chalet. Love the gas logs especial since it snow while we where there.
Yaima B. January 29, 2014
Everything was good I will come back again, the only complain what I have is the wifi and internet was very poor, try to fixed please I will be back at summer season
Steve T. April 17, 2014

Laura E. February 11, 2014
Great rental! Very clean and had everything you would need. Stayed with our two young children who loved it as well. Would stay here again.
Kelsey H. March 29, 2014
What a beautiful chalet! My husband and I (and the pups) could not have been more pleased. Such wonderful decor/furniture. Very nicely maintained. Awesome location! (5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg)
April H. May 3, 2014
This was our first time in gatlinburg and this was a beautiful home however if your going to rent to pet owners the cleaning should better. The house smelled horrible and being pregnant this make the trip not the best we ended up staying out as much as possible!
Lisa P. June 25, 2014
This is a beautiful place to stay, we loved it and will stay there again in the future.Felt just like home!
Carol M. June 29, 2014
The house is lovely, but I would like to note a couple of things. My friend saw a few insects in the house. This was not a major problem and may be unavoidable. It was not really convenient to have to walk through the bedrooms to get to both of the bathrooms. This is a design flaw for next time a house is built. The rest of the layout was fine. The refrigerator froze our food and we had to throw away a lot of fruit costing at least $10. This was the worst thing. The stairs were hard for us three old ladies, especially moving in and out with our stuff. The sofas were so comfortable that one of us chose to sleep on one of them. The hot tub was hot, something I usually miss. So often they are just lukewarm, which is less relaxing. The management company forgot to give us our club pass, so we had to make an extra drive to get it.
