Sleeps 4, from $329/night - Surrounded by 29 acres on a wooded mountain, Sanctuaire (~2000sf) is a quarter century dream in the making.

The owner has salvaged beautiful architectural items from San Francisco Victorians, collected high quality antiques and, with superb attention to detail, integrated them into an open-beamed lodge to create an artistic expression of the highest order. This house is such a work of art that it was featured in the New York Times, Sept. 2005.

There are stairs up to the main living area. The living room is partially open to the kitchen, and has a dining area. Off the living area, there's a wrap-around deck with outdoor dining. Down a short hall, there's one bedroom with its own deck and bathroom. Down interior stairs, at ground level, there's a den/bedroom suite with gas fireplace, small patio, and bathroom. In front of the house, there's a large, sunny clearing with garden, seasonal unheated* swimming pool, hot tub and pond.

*The pool is unheated, but it has a solar blanket and is in full sun all day every day, so generally stays warm enough through the summer. On the edge of the property, behind high privacy fencing, there is a cottage with a full-time tenant. No other near neighbors.

In July and August this property is only available for week long stays with check-ins on: Sunday.  Any reservation made to start on another day of the week will be asked to change dates, or move to another property that permits reservations beginning on that day.  Our customer service team will assist you in this matter.
