Tahoe Donner is the ideal place for a family getaway. It was founded expressly to “create a family resort that had every recreation facility a family could want right at their fingertips.” Since its inception more than 40 years ago, the Home Owners Association of Tahoe Donner has painstakingly crafted the community into an intimate, family friendly environment with possibly the most expansive list of amenities in Tahoe. The community of Tahoe Donner offers guests everything from skiing to boating while maintaining a trademark emphasis on family fun.
Tahoe Donner is situated on the outskirts of the town of Truckee, 5 minutes from Donner Lake, 15 from Lake Tahoe, and 25 minutes from Squaw and Alpine Meadows. If you want to venture away from North Lake Tahoe, it's half an hour from Reno airport and 50 minutes from slot machines, Black Jack and Craps in South Lake Tahoe
The Tahoe area is famous for its snowy winters and sunny, warm summers. There is snow in town from December through April and the mountains will often have patches of snow through August. During Spring, Summer and much of Fall, Tahoe is sunny and warm with little rain and average temperatures peaking around 80.

Opened in 1976, Tahoe Donner Golf Course is the oldest golf course in the Truckee area. Over its first 31 years the course earned itself a reputation as one of the premiere golf courses in the High Sierra, but, after a 2007 remodeling by architect Cary Bickler and renowned shaper Eddie Krikorian, it raised the bar even higher. Golf Digest Magazine nominated Tahoe Donner Golf Course for Best Remodeled Golf Course in America, and the course has become known for the "Best Greens Tahoe."
