Skiing and Snowboarding (Winter and Spring)Northstar is one of Tahoe's premier skiing and boarding destinations. Our Northstar Homes and Condos combine the comfort of a home with the fun and excitement of a fabulous village, featuring a multitude of outdoor amenities. All Northstar properties are connected by a free, on-demand shuttle to the Northstar Village. Just call when you need a ride and you can enjoy great eateries, peruse dozens of stylish stores and art galleries, go skating (ice in winter and roller in summer), or simply relax at the beautiful pools, saunas and spas. If you’re looking for more of a rush, you can take the gondola to the top of Northstar Mountain and zoom down world class ski and mountain biking runs, or go horseback riding or hiking along the beautiful mountain trails. The choices abound, but one thing is for sure - Northstar is the perfect place for a family getaway, offering fun and excitement for everyone.
Location
Our Northstar cabins are located about 10 minutes from the quaint town of Truckee and 10 minutes from the beaches of Lake Tahoe. We're also a 45 minute drive from the Reno airport, and 50 minutes from the casinos and lights of South Lake Tahoe.

Weather and Temperature
The Tahoe area is famous for it's snowy winters and sunny, warm summers. There is snow in town from December through April and the mountains will often have patches of snow through August. Through the Spring, Summer and much of Fall, Tahoe is sunny and warm with little rain and average temperatures peaking around 80.

Village Amenities
Recreation Center
The Rec Center includes a fully equipped gym, a heated 25 yard pool (top right), separate adult and family spas, 10 hard surfaced tennis courts, and a kids and teens room complete with a TV, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey tables, and arcade games.

Village Cinemas
The Village-at-Northstar is houses the only 2 movie theatres in the Truckee area. Movie-goers can munch on popcorn as they sit back in their stadium style seats and watch major hits like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or Captain America.
Price: Adult tickets are $10.50 while kids and seniors (65+) are $7.25.
Ice Skating (Winter)/ Roller Skating (Summer)
The centerpiece of the Northstar village is a 9,000 sf skating rink encircled by cozy fire pits, picturesque alpine lodges, and live music. In the winter it's an ideal place to switch out your ski boots for ice skates, and in the summer its the perfect spot to enjoy Tahoe's fresh air and sunshine, roast s'mores in front of a fireplace, and take in a band.
Price: Entry to the rink is Free, and skate rentals are $5.
Outdoor Sports
Mountain Biking (Summer)
During the summer Northstar-at-Tahoe's ski slopes transform into world class mountain biking trails. Rent your bike in the village and ride the gondola up the mountain for an epic day!

Horseback Riding
Northstar's serene trails and guided tours make horseback riding a great way to absorb the beauty of Tahoe. The variety of topography is sure to astound: one moment you'll be winding through Tahoe's beautiful pine forests, and the next you'll be stopped in your tracks by a stunning vista of Sierra Nevada's High Peaks.
Price: 1 hour tours are $70, 2 hour tours are $120, and 3 hour tours are $150
Golf (Summer)
A short shuttle ride from your cabin is a beautiful 18 hole, par 72 golf course. The landscape incorporates Tahoe's wooded terrain with wavy bunkers and greens.
Green Fees: Before 1:00 PM Green Fees are $60 in Spring and $80 in Summer, while Twilight Tee times (between 1PM and 4PM) are $40 and $60 respectively. Additionally, the course has started offering evening options (after 4PM) that are $35 and $45.
