What is the weather like in Lake Tahoe?

Summer in Tahoe is popular for its wonderful weather. Days are glorious, typically sunny and pleasantly warm.  A typical July day starts off at 40 degrees but climbs rapidly to an average of 79 degrees. Winters are equally mild, with an average January day ranging from 15 to 41 degrees.

How do I get to Lake Tahoe?

Lake Tahoe is about 40 miles from Reno, 100 miles from Sacramento, and 200 from San Francisco. The closest airports are Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Sacramento International Airport.
